Andrew Reid

This website was created and is maintained by Andrew Reid. Andrew is married to Heather and they have two adult sons living in Western Australia. He currently lectures in Old Testament and Hermeneutics at Ridley Melbourne. Prior to this he ministered in Western Australia as the senior pastor of St Matthews Anglican church in Shenton Park before leading an independent evangelical church plant (Curtin Community Church). During the 1980s and early 90s he was the National Director of the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students and then Anglican chaplain at Macquarie University in Sydney.

Andrew is also the author of a number of Christian books on the Old Testament, hermeneutics, and apologetics and has a passionate interest in helping people understand the Old Testament as Christian scripture. He has just finished writing a commentary on 1 and 2 Samuel and is currently working on a doctoral thesis with the topic: 'Evangelical Hermeneutics and Old Testament Preaching: A Critical Analysis of Graeme Goldsworthy’s Theory and Practice'.
